This series comes from my delight seeing actors "in bed" with a vertical set-up, i.e. standing with their pillow and blanket suspended in air so that they can face the audience directly, That and my love of portraiture and the wonderful work of Hayv Kahraman and Toyin Ojih Odutola

Okay, quite rough and unfinished but this is the product of my August class with Gus Storms in the subject of storytelling and comics

Really enjoyed the class, feel like I have a new appreciation of the intense work that goes into creating comics!

This class was short so we only got as far as a three page story in pencil but I did play with some grey markers for the last sheet. Thanks Gus Storms for the great class!
