Opsins

Our first piece that we are both happy with

It's a challenge photographing these because of the 3 dimensional surface. Different shadows in different light make it look quite changed. We are considering the word Opsin or some variant thereof for our collaborative work. I read about it in that new research about octopi in which they discovered that these molecules (opsin) involved in light detection exist in the skin of an octopus, which means that they "see" with their skin. The scientists are trying to invent cloaking devices, which is the reason for the study of creatures that change color/texture as they move over different surfaces.
